i went up the hill to see the sun
and there i found a hospice
worse than the other one
the sun glowed it was a hot summer day
i could not run up that way

i remember my grandmother's home
it was a small trailer that wasn't built of stone
i went there because the government asked me to
southern california you know you were the reason for the accident too
but it all went away one december day
that the fake minister said i was not welcome that way

let's have a good year said the tiger!
let's have a good year said the fish!
Let's get everything together
and get the stars in agreement
with a wink and bright green eyes
i said i could go there no surprise

summer fall winter spring
things don't happen everyday i think
you may want and want for us to bring
you salvation and everything
when I can't get out of this stinking place
things don't happen everyday

two hours in bed no comfort
from these thoughts
there isn't a place in this town
or the next i can get a job
i'm preparing to die more
things don't happen everyday

they promise me that i might live
a longer life
that i might pass into my centennial years
but they also stamped on me this mental illness tripe
that says i lose 25 years from average person hey
things don't happen everyday

so cold was this place
it was near barrow i think
one night everything
was little yellow light i think
i remember once i met you
that girl from stanford in one
of those winter journeys
i passed near her getting me a chi
and then i threw away my life

No thermodynamics!
it must be creative writing
no more mr cumalot
i have to try again
to get everything to work
my bones are brittle and
i need something to waste my time
with while i wake up.

at a job
at the sidewalk
to know God carries
a price

George Bush was tripped up
by Bono
by saying you "don't need it now"
as far as the holy spirit pertains

I correct you! In my best form
that every school with a religious
studies program needs to wake up
and be in emergency today
we are victims of this songwriter's prey
just like those little desires that went astray

  A Leaf in the Wind

Author: Her Illustrious Ashes

A leaf blows in the wind:
you reach up to grab it
you fall down on one knee.
(Reaction!)
A rainbow roves over the horizon.
The clouds, oh cotton candy tufts
that they are pinken the sky.
The gingerbread man is in a love tryst
flirting with the maiden of jujubes
beneath the hut of chocolaty grahams
and the volcano of marshmallow
which is not about to blow.
A sorcerer casts spells on octopuses
and a unicorn in a magic garden sings
a melody, a melody, a melody.
Black marbles explode from the eye
sockets of a black priest
which is going to have a bowel movement
at any second
or else a heart attack ...
