Jewelry Boxes – A Treasured Gift

Author: gaintion
Date: May 13, 2008 22:08

Can a container capture more attention than what it contains? It
happens if the container is a jewelry box – hand made, exquisite,
antique so on and on. The jewelry box is not functioning as a mere
holder of valuable jewels. It is a work of art by itself. There are
mind boggling varieties to choose from, the playful styles suitable
for little girls, to handcrafted jewellery boxes. Their functions and
the price ranges also vary.

Remember the wind up music boxes to hold your fancy jewels and also
the trademark character jewelry boxes which fascinated the young girls
with a small mirror for the little princess to check your look after
putting on your jewels. These inexpensive great gifts are meant for
little girls.
Then there are the dresser style jewelry boxes resembling tiny chests
of drawers in bright colours with a soft fabric lining to protect the
jewelry.

Jewelry boxes for the grown up come in different styles to fit every
need – not only for the women – watch boxes, valet box which falls
under the category of jewelry boxes are specially made for men.

Veterans Day / Memorial Day Poem # 237
Untitled

Honor, Loyaty, and Sacrifice, all components of a well lived life.
Some gave their all the ultimate gift for freedom of the generations to come.
God bless and keep the soilders as they enter the gates of heaven with their
heads held high not looking back because they know what they left behind. A
nation thats free;laughing children, church doors open, the gift of choice, the
smell of freedom.

12 May 2008: National Limerick Day (no, really)

Author: Dennis M. Hammes
Date: May 13, 2008 01:50

There was a young man from Pawtucket
Who carried his brain in a bucket.
Came Limerick Day,
His pencil said "Hey,"
But his brain said he'd better just duck it.
