  Panasonic HVX200A, timecode workaround?

Author: Soundhaspriority
Date: Jun 30, 2008 19:06

This camera has no Lemo connector. Since it can't jam or be jammed to, the
only thing I can think of is to set the timecode to continuous run, point it
at a slate hooked to the 744T, record a one second clip, and do the math
later, using the clip as a relative reference.

Is there any kind of a bloop-light gadget that would be cheaper than a slate
for this limited purpose?

The suggestion was made to record timecode to one camera track. I guess I
could record the same one second clip, audio only. But then the editing
suite has to have the ability to interpret an audio track as timecode.

Any possibilities I'm missing?

Looks like one of the emails I got today was from a real "Pro"...
funny thing it was openly cc:d to a bunch of mixers I know, and all
kind of addresses that looked like sound ops... I once got some spam
from coffey's domain, and Wexler wanted to sell me some noni juice...
this one just wanted to give me ten million for processing his 100
million dollar check from nigeria... WTF ! anyone else?

  SR receiver camera compatibility

Mike Sepich at Lectro received the following email from Alan Keil with
Ikegami regarding two channel compatibility:

>   All current camcorders with Uni-slot are stereo capable with simple switch activation on UI board, including models HDS-V10, HDN-V10, and DNS-33W.

if they don't pay, who owns it?

hi all,

Quick Q...

I recorded a couple choirs as a favor for friend after the storm....
200$ for a disc of these singers in church a simple MS deal... way
below what I normally would ask, but my friend had been doing xy for
like 100 ( he has never worked for picture) well these "church lady;s"
never paid me... I asked a couple times, it seemed pretty
insignificant at the time and the money really is not an issue. They
actually sounded great and it;s a killer good recording...

my question, the pieces are all public domain, who owns this stuff if
the recording was never paid for....

  free parabolic dish

The satellite installer left me a 0.5 meter dish, in fine condition. It's
free to anyone who wants to experiment. The diameter may be too small for
tonal balance. If that's the response, I'll toss it.

Free for pickup or whatever.

OFF TOPIC: u8m854p98su072q3l8chiss3t0lcr05fo0@4ax.com Censored By Google Groups. Gordon Sauck Is A Police Agent

It has come to my attention that my original post Mr Gordon Sauck
Replies To Me By Email And Admits To Being A Police Agent has
disappeared from Google Groups.

But is archived here and other places on the web

Regular readers of my posts know that HAMC can censor Google Groups
from time to time and since they can intimidate the courts, cops and
judiciary from time to time as well as the media and/or bribe them
and/or confuse them a major corporation isn't much of a stretch. Heck
the Mafia once extorted money from a NYSE listed company in fact two
of them from the top 500. I will try to get Google Groups to re-list
it. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks to anyone who like in the past can get Google Groups to restore
the original post.
