  Best 3M mounting solution

Author: Brent Lestage, CAS

Hi All,

What adhesive-based product works best to mount Lectro receivers in a
pinch? Click-Lock? Dual Lock? What is the specific 3M product that
Lectro supplies with their receivers? Larry?

Thanks,

Zaxcoms... using with BDS power up unit and other tales from the digital world...

Got 2 brand new Zaxcom wireless systems.
One will light up with no problems when loaded with NiMH batteries.
The other won't, even when using the batteries from the first unit.
The same unit that got problems with batteries: can't find a frequency
that works. Always have "swoosh" sounds.

IFB100: when powered using the BDS (Remote Audio) power up unit, it
makes mics have these "sweesh" sounds too, but more like a hi-freq.
sound.

Another thing: I tried to switch the Rxs to Line and use the Line
inputs in my mixer: signal almost non-existing. Switched to Mic and
using Mic inputs on 302: OK. I guess I'll use the Mic inputs on the
camera when I configure the system for cam link uh ? So why put Line
outs on the units anyway ?

Probably all "user related" bugs : I'll be more than happy to learn
and fix it.

Any idea ? Been trying to join the Zaxcom Group with no success
either ...

  Cooper CS106 question

Author: flickersound

Hi there,
I am wondering if it is possible to get the board's per-channel direct
outs to be pre-fader output? Ideally I would like to have them post-
eq but pre-fader for an eq'd iso channel that is not affected by
whether it plays in the mix or not. It seems that both the channel
out and the half-click insert respond to the faders. This means that
if I fade something out that it fades from the iso as well so if I
blow a cue or don't want to use the input in the mix that it is just
gone.

There is a recessed switch to take the channel completely out of the
mix and act as a standalone, but this doesn't allow me to gracefully
bring it in to the mix at all then. Are there any dip switches
inside? I wouldn't mind changing the behavior on the long term.

The situation seems sufficiently mundane that I would imagine that it
has been addressed somehow before. I may be overlooking something
simple of course.

Thanks in advance.

Brian

  Brazil Bound Visit

Author: vocaline

Hello all,

I'm visiting Brazil for the first time from mid-June to mid-July. I'll
be in Sao Paulo for a couple of weeks and would like to meet with
local audio folk. It would be a pleasure to have a fresh perspective
since I'm considering moving there from Vancouver with my Paulista
girlfriend. Adventures abound...
Cheers,

  generic lav clips?

Author: splendidmike

Hey,

I have a lot of different lavs, and students are forever losing/
breaking the clips. I once had a generic lav clip that could hold just
about any lav, but I've never been able to find it for sale. I'd love
to buy a bag of 20 of these guys, if I could just find them! Anyone
ever seen something like this from a manufacturer or retailer? Or have
a good professionalish hack?

Thanks,
Mike
