the battery drop from 1,3 to 1.2 very quickly and stay in this voltage until
it empty
the alkaline fell down from 1,5 to less then a volt and the lithium stay
1.5 until the end
the best is you can do is work with timer after you check how much time the
unit get from your batteries .
neither of these setting would give you good results , the lithium would
show your battery dead until it actually die after few hours and the
alkaline would show you still good and your unit your unit will die
unexpectedly

Hey Take. Do the new audio codex in Vista make Boom Recorder for PC any
more realistic?

  Ricsonix B1 Button-Mic

Author: ric creaser
Date: Dec 1, 2006 17:20

We decided to take the Ricsonix Pin-Mic one step further with the
development of the B1 Button-Mic, which disguises itself as a button on
the outside of a shirt.

We took the standard Pin-Mic backplate and placed a recessed hole in
the back of it to accommodate the shirts existing button. On the front
of it is a small spindle tube with a flat top which can pass through
the button hole. The capsule is facing outward and the holes in the
microphone line up with the holes in the button. This allows the audio
to pass through cleanly. The profile is low so it doesn't stick out
and is very quick to apply.

You just take a button and glue it onto the cap which then snaps onto
the microphone - when it's clicked together it looks like one of
the other shirt buttons. Most shirts come with a spare button or two or
you could simply carry a stock of colored buttons.

Nope, just didn't know it was important on any level. Thanks.

The only time this is a problem with the Aaton Keylink/Keydaw is when the
camera is recording Aaton Code, and there are multiple days of audio in one
folder. The Keylink can force the date on the film to the date on the slate
(if one is used) within the software. This is another step that can be
avoided if the sound mixer jams the camera and the recorder with the proper
date format... DD/MM/YYYY/00 If the dates are recorded correctly the
syncing is automatic. If not it takes extra time and that's a lot of money.
It's easy for us to make this change and really doesn't effect us at mixers
all does it?

Yep, me too. 10" reels on rock concerts, overlapping reel changes. Always
TC and at 7.5ips. The 10" reel adapters were quite the contraptions, eh?
