production sound mixer? or does that just make me the black sheep...
i'm starting to think of ways to make it out there this year. maybe i
can convice some of my pals in l.a. to meet me for some gambling fun.

Thinking about adding the CS-1 to my tool kit.....having not heard it
I'd love to hear opinions and descriptions of how it Sounds.....by
itself and compared to other mics. I have a CS-3 and love it. Does it
sound just like the CS-3 with less reach/wider pattern?
Why am I thinking about this on New Years? Time for drink
Happy New Year, C

Yes, ALU and Manfrotto are the same company. Mine are heavy duty
enough to handle sandbags fine, but there is no provision for uneven
ground as they are designed for retail store or studio use. The only
real drawback to them is they do have a wide footprint when spread all
the way out ie more than a C stand.

I have an M150 and an M152 on ebay. Still really cheap if you are looking
for an inexpensive lav for your Lectros. I use them for boom talkback and
they work better than anything else I have tried, FWIW.
