OK, is there anything else planned for March 6th, since the movie may
not come out until much, much later?

I suppose one could use that day to plan how they are going to spend
St Patrick's Day.

See if you can incorporate Casio and Seiko.

It only took Bats ten minutes to kill Two-Face. What kind of pansy-ass
super-villain is that? They could have cut that whole business out of the
film and ended the movie by foreshadowing Two-Face's first crime.

Lieutenant's don't get promoted directly to Commissioner. They have to go
through Captain and Chief, and in a huge town like New York (Gotham), they
also have Commanders or Majors. Christopher Nolan needs to read a few
detective pulps. ?:P~

Yes, I do remember Weisberg.

He wrote eight editions of WHITEWASH that made it into print & Ghud
knows how many other manuscripts of the same book that were not put into
publication for lack of a market.

He went from real publishers to vanity presses to amateur samizdat

He was notorious for claiming to have first uncovered/ discovered/
mentioned whatever a rival assassination buff might write about, and
then libeling that rival as a plagarist. If Mr. W was correct, he alone
of his tribe did any work and all others were freeloading on his
achievement.

On the plus side, Weisberg once admitted that, whatever Oswald ever did,
Oswald never got a cent for his activity. "Oswald was a buck fifty an
hour loser,"" Weisberg said, which kind of goes against the notion that
LHO was a professional intriguer. Oswald lived on the crappy jobs that
the Warren Commission credited him with.

  Who Is The Joker?

Author:

The Dark Knight is a Work of Genius, and typically when a character
succeeds as well as The Joker, it's because the writers have tapped a vein
deep into the human subconscious. In advanced literature classes, those
archetypes are discussed in great depth. Which archetype does The Joker
represent, and why?

This holiday special is no worse than Alan Moore's THE KILLING JOKE
which has an unbelievably bad ending.

Batman laughs it up with the Joker over an old chestnut that was lame
back in a 1900 fifth rate music hall during amateur night. I guess the
intent was to show that they are not really bitter enemies.

****BUT**** less than twelve hours earlier, the Joker had brutalized
and permanently crippled Barbara Gordon and kidnapped her dad in an
effort to drive the Commissioner crazy.

Whaddafook! The close of KILLING JOKE was not the time or place for
Batman and the Joker to celebrate their team spirit
---- instead it
should have been a study on how much willpower it requires of Batman NOT
to kill his adversary on the spot.

I like it, and I'm ordering the sequel. I love me some Jim Starlin!
But I do have to admit some surprise that DC decided to go ahead with
a sequel.
