Team: Michael Falkner (me); Layla Hamilton, Mia Guillem, and Anna
Heart from the "Kaleido Star" series (plural), and mandatory teammates
Keiichi Morisato and Belldandy from "Ah My Goddess!"

"Welcome to San Francisco, ladies... Wait, there were only supposed to

be THREE of you..."

Those were my words after I turned on the machine, set it for three
Kaleido Stagers, and hit "Send". I got Layla, and Mia, and Anna...

"Well, there's FIVE of us here, and I don't know who these other two
are...", Layla retorted.

"Let me explain.", Belldandy answered. "I'm Belldandy from the Goddess

Network, and this is my contractor Keiichi Morisato."

"Contractor??", Anna asked, to which she was explained the story behind

their relationship.

"That's SO SWEET!", Mia said with a gleam in her eye.

"Well, my name is Michael, and I summoned these three. Sounds like I
got you two in the bargain, and I can see Keiichi is a very lucky guy,
because you do look like a goddess...", I said.

Keiichi and Belldandy blushed a moment as I kissed Belldandy's hand.

"SO COOL!!", Anna said.

Mia introduced the Kaleido Stagers: "I'm Mia, and this is Anna from the

Kaleido Stage. Our friend is Layla Hamilton, who now is on Broadway
after a long career on Kaleido Stage."

We all shook hands. Belldandy said: "Michael, there's two very
important things we have to tell you."

Then, Belldandy let out a long yawn. "First, a letter..."

I took a very elaborately written parchment letter:

"To The Summoner, I, the All Father, am leaving these two in your
care. The Yggdrasil crew is in the process of debugging their
particular dimension, and since they are currently the major cause of
the bugs, this seems the simplest solution. We will retrieve them in
approximately one week."

"OK... That's part of it.", I said.

"Here's the rest.", Belldandy replied. "We just got over a big battle
with the Demon Queen Marller, and we were able to temporarily imprison
her, but, in doing so, she came to this dimension somehow when we got
summoned, and then..."

And then Belldandy passed out, to the surprise of myself and the three
Kaleido Stagers.

"Don't worry. Belldandy sapped her powers over in our dimension in the

last fight. She needs to sleep a while to regain her powers.", Keiichi

explained.

Just then, ANOTHER Belldandy appeared, sort of...

She said: "Don't worry. I can project myself in a limited form to
help you out, but only to a very limited extent. I sense Marller has
been loosed from her CD in this realm. Your task is going to be, with
me only being the projection, find her and keep her from destroying
this realm or finding my body. It's me and Keiichi she's after, not
you. However, once she sees this realm, she might want to take over
this too, find how she got summoned, and even try to take over your
realm as well."

To which we all gasped, and I said: "How are we supposed to beat a
Demon Queen without a goddess' powers???"

Belldandy said: "Leave that to Keiichi and myself. You don't have to
beat her, just let us subdue her for long enough for me to awaken and
be able to use my powers. That should happen just about the time we go

back. We can take her back to our dimension and do the work there.
But one very important thing further..."

"Yes?", Layla asked.

"I care about my Keiichi very much. I will not let you sacrifice his
life or harm him. Do you understand?": Belldandy kindly answered.

"That's all right, Belldandy. I think we're in good hands with these
guys.", Keiichi said with a smile.

"OK, Task One is to find out where this Demon Queen is so we can figure

out what kind of thing we're up against..."

To which we found a restaurant with a television, and quickly got our
answer. She had taken over Golden Gate Park, and announced that she
was granting wishes. Let's just say drugs and alcohol were flowing
freely to the homeless crowd that the mayor's been trying to clean out
of that park for the last six months.

"Oh God... So we not only have her to deal with...", I said.

Over in the park, Marller mused: "So not only do I get dumped here,
but I can find a bunch of minions who, if I keep them happy, I can make

contracts with them and they will do my bidding. I'll get Belldandy
over here and take over ALL realms!!"

After a few minutes of thought, we began to lay out our plan with a
nearby map of the city.

"Mia, you're the brains of the operation. Think of a set-up of how we
can get the Demon Queen to the football stadium on Stanyan Street.
That's Kezar Stadium, right *here*.", I pointed to the football stadium

on the very western edge of the map.

"What do you want me to plan?", Mia said.

"That's where Anna and Layla come in.", I noted.

"Just across the street *here* is an acrobatics academy, Acro-Arts.
I'm sure you can explain the situation and get them to exchange some
time with their students with borrowing some of their apparati, which
we can set up." Once we can get Marller into the stadium, then it's up

to you two, Belldandy and Keiichi, to do the rest."

"I might need a bike to do something at the park, Michael...", Layla
noted.

"There's two bike rental shops on Stanyan.", I noted.

Belldandy said: "We know how to subdue Marller. And that's all we
will do. Then we can keep her in check at the stadium and go from
there."

"Well, we have our assignments. The police have probably sealed off
most of the park, so we might have to come in on the N-Judah a couple
blocks away. Let's get to it!!!", I said.

"And Anna???"

"Yes?", Anna perked up.

"Yes, we can pie Marller.", I said with a grin.

"COOL!", the clown noted.

The next several hours, though the Haight had largely turned into a
riot zone, went rather smoothly. We got complete cooperation from the
acrobatics academy (and probably didn't even have to offer them Layla,
Mia, and Anna's time), and Mia had us set up a rudimentary trapeze act
in the stadium. We also put Belldandy's resting body in the academy.

Layla rented a bike from one of the shops, as Anna and I got pies and
questioned what flavor would be best to pie Marller with.

Keiichi and Belldandy (the projection) went to Amoeba Records and
loaded up on the music... After a few weird looks (but, trust me,
they've seen everything over there), they set off to set up a couple of

PA systems...

Once everything was ready, we moved to try to find where Marller was.
We didn't have to look far.

"Ah, another homeless person...", Marller sensed when she saw me.
"What is your wish?"

"My wish... Well, aside from reconciling with a certain Broadway
performer...", I said...

"You've been to Broadway???", Layla asked.

"With sad results.", I answered.

I continued to Marller: "...my wish is for you to go back to your
realm!!!"

"IMPOSSIBLE!!!", Marller retorted. "Belldandy is here, and..."

"Well, with that: _NOW_, Anna!!!!", I interrupted, at which point a
chocolate cream pie nailed Marller right in the head, followed by a
second.

"You idiot!!! I'm here to disrupt Belldandy. But now you will be
punished!!!", Marller said as she readied herself, and just before Anna

could get a third pie out, she disappeared and an ice cream truck
replaced her.

"She's an ICE CREAM TRUCK???", I said...

"HELP!!!!!!!!!!!", the Anna Ice Cream Company truck screamed.

"And as for you, you sorry little bitch...", Marller said to me...

One zap later, Marller had a real problem on her hands. You see, she
chose to disable us by turning us both into vehicles which matched our
personalities.

That wasn't a problem with Anna, as an ice cream truck is harmless.
With me, she got a SWAT tank with a water cannon, a battering ram and
an attitude!!!

"WHAT????", Marller screamed as she was sent running.

"Michael!!! Get her to the stadium as we planned...", Layla yelled as
she got on her bike for Kezar.

Of course, this got Marller going toward Layla, but Layla was, quite
literally, a step ahead of her all the way. Marller couldn't set to
turn Layla into anything or zap her with a rampaging SWAT tank
literally on her backside. Anytime she would try to go airborne, she'd

get the water cannon!!!

Now, imagine the scene: a blonde on a bike, doing acrobatic tricks
while being followed by a demon queen with a SWAT tank coming very
close to ramming her continuously (and keeping the people who had
wishes granted from disrupting the mess -- no one wanted to get in the
way of a runaway rampaging SWAT tank!), with an ice-cream truck looking

back and forth. And they thought they had seen everything at this end
of the Haight!!!

"Wow...", Mia told Layla as they got to Kezar, as Mia was literally
riding inside Anna. "Michael's hardheaded, AND he's pissed!"

"Yeah, but we can use that...", Layla replied. "C'mon, Demon Queen,
you can do better than _THAT_!!!", she taunted as she avoided anything
Marller COULD throw at her.

This only frustrated her further, but somehow -- after ransacking half
of Golden Gate Park in one of the most indirect routes in history (what

can I say, I was pissed and lost all sense of direction!!) -- we got to

Kezar. Layla dismounted the bike and started toward the trapeze setup.

However, Marller could now set as the tank was having trouble
maneuvering properly toward the field (the sharp slope which was the
only way down was a real problem!!), and Layla was promptly turned into

a tricked-out Harley-Davidson.

"SWEET!", the Anna Ice-Cream Company Truck said...

Of course, there was still one human left. Mia yelled one final
command to the heavens:

"KEIICHI, __N O W !!!!__"

To which the strains of Amii Stewart's "Knock on Wood" came over the
stadium PA.

Marller couldn't last long. The disco music made her start dancing --
and she could not nor would not stop. The next several hours had a mix

of 70's disco and rock music that would have her dancing well into the
night...

And as we all turned back to ourselves (thankful that we were told that

the effects of the transformation were temporary), we all mocked
Marller by joining her.

"Hey, babe, you can really swing those hips!!!!", I retorted.

"OH SHUT UP!!! THE INSTANT THIS ACCURSED MUSIC STOPS...", she yelled.

To which I interrupted: "That's why it won't stop for the entire next
week. The Police Department doesn't mind, as long as we turn it down
to field level after sundown -- they figure it can keep the homeless
out of this area of the park!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!"

We then agreed on shifts to keep an eye on the music and on Marller.
We all got a kick out of being disc jockeys for the whole week, as we
separated schools full of kids who came to dance to the music from our
special guest.

The rest of the week went smoothly, as only authorized people were
allowed into and out of Kezar. The Kaleido Stagers put on exhibitions
over at Acro-Sports for the students, who were just mesmerized by the
performances.

"That was great practice, Michael. Thank you.", Layla said as I
checked the time on the last day.

"We've almost overheated this PA device...", Keiichi noted.

"Don't worry. It's almost never used anyway.", I noted. "Only for
football games and track meets at the stadium."

"Besides, it's time for everyone, including the Dancing Queen down
there, to go...", I noted.

Belldandy had awakened and grinned at our handiwork. "They told me
about how you were turned into a tank and just ran through
everything..."

"What can I say, Belldandy??? She turned me into something which
reflected who I was...", I said.

"But with a kind heart and spirit, we survived and even gave the city
something nice in return.", Mia said with the first hug to me.

Hugs, kisses, and tears all around ensued as the timer chime went off,
noting I only had a couple minutes before the five left.

"We won't forget you!!!", Anna said, reaching out her hand for one last

handshake. Of course, I felt the jolt when she had a buzzer in her
hand!

"ERP!"

"Thank you again." Layla said.

"No problem.", I replied as I was still shaking my hand.

"Couldn't have done it without you.", Anna said.

"Thank Marller. Her own powers were her biggest weakness.", I said as
Marller disappeared.

Keiichi thanked me, and then Belldandy embraced me and whispered:
"Thank you, Michael. I cannot grant you a wish, as I am away from my
realm and still under contract to my Keiichi. But know that you are
loved, and that the All Father also thanks you."

"You're very welcome, Goddess.", I said with a grin.

And with that, it was time for everyone to go home. One could only
hope that Belldandy could re-imprison her once everyone got back.
