"Robot Chicken" has the Smurf thing DOWN. They cut each others heads
off, puke like fountains and say colorful crap like "Papa Smurf! Its
smurfing like a mother-smurfer!" as a flood rises. I once thought RC
would run its course and I'd lose interest, but they tap the mainline so
often, I cling to it shamefully. C'mon, who could not get behind a quick
flash scene of a guy going downhill fast on a unicycle and yelling "I
GOT NO BRAKES!" or Harry Potter on the ground with a broomstick up his
ass, yelling "A LITTLE *HELP* here please??" Cheap blip-jokes are part
of our ADD heritage.

Best of all, RC and Metalocaplypse are only 12 minutes long. As such,
it not only fits the American attention span, but allows me to pretend I
still have some dignity left, despite watching them. Its a win-win deal
in the name of an awful venture and THAT'S WHAT WE *LIKE*!

My theory is Papa Smurf did it. he figured if Gargamel can make smurf
with the intent to cause trouble, he could whip up his own batch of
new smurfs for shits and giggles, and thusly we get Sassette (the
younger female), Slouchy, Snappy, and Nature smurflings.
