I rented it from Blockbuster like everyone else, back in 1995 :-)
I was fanboyish enough to write up a review of it on rec.arts.anime,

Whoa! It cost me all of $10 for the DVD (subbed and dubbed into
English) , and the companion soundtrack CD. Three kids of awesome!
Carbone and Zito rock when they aren't laying down Alyssa Milano
backbeats :-)
I maintain that the synth rock in that flick blows away anything in
the Bubblegum Crisis canon. Counter-evidence must be presented to me
in podcast form, ASAP!
Terrence Briggs, following his dreams :-P
Peace to you...
