Also, like the 90's He-Man, the 80's action figures can be recycled back
to shelves with little additional packaging, so long as the visual
characters retain their original design...
As to where the "rock band" thing came in, I'm passing that off as a bit
of AICN mutation, but there had been a souped-up teen-audience T-Cats
remake floating around development heck since the same late 90's.
Derek Janssen (the fact that we hadn't had a good action toon before the
WB also made an entire generation nostalgic)
