I heard that Tennessee Tuxedo will be done by some unidentified studio
in a new ALL live-action film.No CGI or stuffed animals or what have
you here.
Brief plotline/outline:
Tennessee is a orhpaned young cute baby penguin who's now safe in the
Honeydale Zoo in the Midwest but escapes. Two children discover him
waddling into their home. The film, which IS a Tennesee Tuxedo film,
(not like "Meet the Parents" which reivived the "Mr.Jinks" name for a
cat but was not intended to be a revival of that character), will be
the ulitmate. Tennesee, a 2-month old penguin, does not talk, but
despite the use of totally different things in every department the
"Tennessee Tuxedo" theme from the sixties is used and Classic Media
will be credited to show us what this is, uh, SUPPOSED to be.
(Dedicated to Don Adams.) And a five second still of the old animated
Tennessee to forge a connection in the opening.

He could meet a giant rabbit who takes him to Antarctica, pausing only
to give the occasional quarter to a fellow American who's down on his luck.

I recall D.C. as a mute character, who acted like a regular cat, more or
less, not even speaking to the audience.

The original D.C. was an alien who used a collar to speak. I don't believe
the lips moved though.

I remember that! LOL! For what it's worth, I was only kidding about
the Tennesee Tuxedo movie (though today, whether I posted this or not
or anyone got wrong ideads to make such a flick from this or not, we
can allserious predict such a movie.) ...

No, you're mixing movies up. You're thinking of "The Cat from Outer
Space". "That Darn Cat" was an entirely different movie. In the origin TDC
DC was a nonspeaking Siamese ( though I thought he had good "acting ability"
for a cat ). I never saw the remake. I thought the cat didn't take in the
remake either ( and I heard that the remake cat was boring for an animal
actor ).
