And in Disney's backpedaling rush to turn a bad Shrek-clone joke into a
harmless and feel-good "Pretty Woman" (that was a big hit of theirs a
couple years ago, you know! ^_^ ), even from the trailers,
"Enchanted"'s NYC didn't look like it hadn't significantly changed since
1989. (Except for all the Disney theaters and the post-Giuliani Times
Square.)
Or at least a time-warp effect created by West coast execs who learned
everything they needed to know about NYC from watching mid-80's Shelley
Long and Michael Keaton comedies.
Shopping sprees and jive black bus drivers included.

(And at the Oscars, "Persepolis"'s Marji Stratrapi will just have to
content herself with her forbidden smuggled iPod.) :)
