Well, considering the number of studios determined to protect their
precious trademarks and copyrights, I'd say the closest thing to a story
like that would be another April Fools joke or certain online strips
(especially when you consider Mr. Shultz's current status)

Kim Possible/Totally Spies
Daria/Fairly Oddparents
Teen Titans/Justice League
Teen Titans/Invader Zim
Road Runner/Aladdin
even a joint project called 'Ladies Night' that brings diverse characters
like Demona, Buzzsaw Girl, Cheetara and April O'Niel into the same area
and allows them to interact.

In fact, any crossover that combines similar characters with dissimilar
personalities can be a source of amusement - the problem is that, along
with the amount of licensing involved, some of the more recent
'official' examples have been relatively poor. (ie Kim Possible/Lilo and
Stitch)

Still, animation is a versatile medium - if one is willing to write a
semi-original storyline while keeping the stars 'in character' it could
prove entertaining. (and, who knows, perhaps I'll get off my own duff
long enough to do so) ;)

'SNK vs Marvel vs Capcom' sounds good as well but some of these
properties (and their characters) have a lot of (fan-supported) history
behind them. To present them as anything other than dramatic and/or
tragic would cause the project to fail, particularly when you consider
the staunchiness of each franchise's fans. {:^)

Let's just see what happens. There are as many ways to present a story
via a game or animated film/series (and just as many ways to screw it up)
as there are people to write/assemble it. If you can't wait for them to
finish their projects (and don't want to visit fanfiction.net at the
moment), you could always write the names of your favorite series on
seperate poker chips, put them in a bucket, toss them into the air, see
which ones land in a 'stack' and imagine the results of those stacks.

(You'd be surprised at how entertaining a Ned's Newt/Project Geeker gag
can be)

Mentoc...cot men? Brrrr, scary.
