It naturally depends on the time frame you're talking from. I could
point to two stuffed Dodo and say "those were the last two Dodo" with a
large degree of certainty. OTOH, if I pointed to a male and female pair
of Dodo and said "those are the last two" there's still a chance they
could mate and produce more. They're just the "last" ones for now.
