Animated shorts/episodes to watch before you die.

Animation shorts/episodes to watch before you die. Since, I got the
Netflix queue geared up.

I'm mainly interested in the invididual shorts and TV episodes that
feature incredible animated sequences. Stuff like:

Batman:TAS's "On Leather Wings", with that Act 3 flight of the Manbat.

Macross Plus: Volume 1, with that amazing opening combat sequence

Those eSurance Flash-animated commercials with the female spy.

Neo Tokyo's "Running Man" short

Dungeons and Dragons "Day of the Dungeon Master", with that 30-second
sequence featuring the destruction of a castle

Etc. No suggestion is too lame for this thread. No show is too lame,
either. I just want some good footage :)

Terrence Briggs, who saw Centurions' "Denver is Down" opening act ten
times. Shame about the series.
Peace to you...

That first sentence sounds a little ghoulish but I'll bite. ^_^;

I agree with you on that one - that's one of the best shorts MTV ever
broadcast, IIRC

Well, the suggestions you receive will vary with the posters' taste(s)
but here are my suggestions:

Best-looking Animated Shorts/episodes Ever! (was: animation to watch before you die)

Changed the title because, yeah, it was a little macabre, and it reeked
of newbie Best Show Ever syndrome :)

Ugh, Erin. Yeah, she has a name.
She even has a Net following, and she's an ad!
(Reminds me of that British couple in old Folger's coffee ads.)

For most of us, that was pretty much how we've all witness that
particular piece of animation without knowing it's orgins or why it was
seen at all. To this day there's still many that might not realize
it's out on DVD even though they often refer back to to the LTV airing
anyway, such as a guy I know at a bike shop that incites that film all
the time. They just don't realize it was a segment from Neo Tokyo or
bother to check into it unless they don't do a search online. It's
just one of those things.

If there is something I wouldn't mind watching again before I die, it
would probably be Evangelion, cause I know nothing could be worse than
that. :-)

One suggestion: The climax of "Wings of Honneamise: Royal Spece Force,"
a dazzling montage meant to show the history of the film's fictional
world (according to superfan Carl Horn). I'll have more after the
hoildays.

Here I am, as promised. Hope everyone had a good holiday. Here are some
exceptional Adult Swim episodes to check out, including some remarakble
scenes within those episodes, plus a scene from a G-rated classic just
because I felt like it. And although I'll try not to reveal too much,
here's some
