[?] A cartoon/anime world

Let's say, for a moment, that a glitch occurs in the 'programming' of our
universe, changing it into a gigantic cartoon complete with appearances by
(admittedly licensed) characters like Bugs Bunny, Ranma and Daria (and,
yes, even some 'offensive' characatures from the various war cartoons)...

What rules would you hope (your part of) the world would retain (ie lack of
permanent death, use of fast running and (pin-induced) high jumps) or avoid
(excessive use of anvils) and how quickly do you think you would adapt to
these changes?

For my own answers, I'd like to think that, along with being virtually
unkillable (being blown to ashes or dozens of tinier versions of myself
would still hurt), I could pull off some Clampett-esque slapstick on
certain deserving people. I'm not sure how quickly I could discover these
new abilities or how much trouble I could get into while using them but
it's nice to think that some of life's annoyances can be solved (even
temporarily) with the right-sized mallet or a coconut custard pie with
whipped cream. ;^)

But let's see what the rest of you have to say.

I'm not absolutely sure there's a lack of permanent death. I think a
character who's needed for humorous purposes can come back from Cloud 9,
but there must be nonentities dying and not coming back. Consider the
birth rate (and how busy the stork is), yet the planet doesn't fill up
with living beings. Also, where do steak dinners and hot dogs come from?

Hm. I'll have to think about your question. The easy return to status
quo has its appeal, as does having background music by Carl Stalling or
Scott Bradley, but these things are all two-edged swords.

As to the cartoon superpower I'd like best, that would be the ability to
defy gravity at will. Not only flying, but riding the invisible bicycle.
It's not quite what you asked, though.

So I turn on the Weather Channel, and this is the forecast I see:

"Today: Partly cloudy skies. 40%% chance of anvils."

The alert ticker on the bottom of the screen flashes, with that annoying
alarm tone:

"The National Weather Service has issued a SEVERE ANVIL WARNING for: *list
of counties*"

Well, I'd wanna keep most pf the basic laws of physics, but the, "you
don't fall if you don't look down" thing would be nice. And who
wouldn't be able to pull random, useful tools out of mid-air?
Also, self-repairing, self-cleaning clothes.. Ya know how characters
get torn and dirty, then, later (or next episode, at the latest),
they're in the same thing and it looks fine? That'd be great.
And I want a harem. WITH twins.

Catherine Johnson. And can I have a pet like Stitch? ^_^
