So... it *WASN'T* worth the dollar you spent on it? At least you gave
it a chance. I'm waiting for video.

It was a presold concept that has satisfied enough audiences in the
past to make mad money just for showing up.

The total is down from Shrek 2, however, so the good will may be a
little used up. If Shrek 4 is as poorly received, it's word of mouth
and box office total will suffer, compared to Shrek 3.

Speaking of presold concepts...

Simpsons will make $60 million this weekend just for showing up (re:
Transformers) Even with horrid word of mouth, it'll make another $60
million on top of that.
