I had some free time between semesters and so I caught a viewing. It
wasn't terrible like "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" and "Happily N'Ever
After". But it should've been a D2V release. Parents could perhaps use this
movie to distract little kids: the alien world where the characters spent most
of their time looked like it was drawn with fingerpaint. But the fingerpaint
and a couple of action sequences are all this movie has going for it. The
gags had flatfooted timing from beginning to end. Once they landed on the
alien world the writers had no idea what to do then, and so the characters
just wasted time slogging through a jungle and meeting up with superfluous
secondary characters.

Warburton turned out to have a smaller role than I expected, actually.
And it was one of his poorer roles, with him coming off as completely charmless
and witless. Normally I like Warburton: he's been good in even some of the
worst garbage. But even he couldn't overcome this movie. What a waste.
Speaking of casting, did Stanley Tucci lose a bet? :-)
