I emailed the 'just the facts, m'am' version, here's the choices with
comments.

>BEST SERIES ON TELEVISION
>Veronica Mars (UPN)
The only ones I watched at all regularly were BSG and Ronnie.
>DRAMA SERIES
>Veronica Mars (UPN)
See above
>DRAMA LEAD ACTOR
Since I don't watch any of these, I couldn't judge
>DRAMA LEAD ACTRESS
>Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars - Veronica Mars (UPN)
I have seen The Closer and Rome. Ronnie still gets my vote
>DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTOR
>Enrico Colantoni as Keith Mars - Veronica Mars (UPN)
Going for two years in a row
>DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTRESS
>Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe O'Brian - 24 (Fox)
Just for Ian
>DRAMA GUEST ACTOR
>Harry Hamlin as Aaron Echolls - Veronica Mars, recurring (UPN)
Not my favorite, but beats the other choices
>DRAMA GUEST ACTRESS
>Alyson Hannigan as Trina Echolls - Veronica Mars, "My Mother, the
>Fiend" (UPN)
While I liked Charisma Carpenter's performance, I would put Tina Majorino
second in this category, and seriously thought about voting her first
>DRAMA WRITING
>Rob Thomas & John Enbom - Veronica Mars, "Not Pictured" (UPN)
>DRAMA DIRECTING
>John T. Kretchmer - Veronica Mars, "Not Pictured" (UPN)
I obviously liked the end more than the beginning
>COMEDY SERIES
>How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
I actually tried to like AD and Scrubs, they just didn't do it for me, for
whatever reason
>COMEDY LEAD ACTOR
Since I don't watch any of them...
>COMEDY LEAD ACTRESS
>Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore - Gilmore Girls (WB)
Warning to Rob, there were actresses I would have chosen over her
hannigan that didn't make the list
>COMEDY SUPPORTING ACTOR
>Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson - How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
Here, I can't think of anyone that didn't make the list that I would choose
over his performance
>COMEDY SUPPORTING ACTRESS
>Kelly Bishop as Emily Gilmore - Gilmore Girls (WB)
Well, she's not even my number one choice on GG, but she is number one out
of this list
>COMEDY GUEST ACTOR
>Andy Richter as Stan - The New Adventures of Old Christine, recurring
>(CBS)
Andy Richter is Never the wrong choice
>COMEDY GUEST ACTRESS
>Ashley Williams as Victoria - How I Met Your Mother, recurring (CBS)
There are two other actresses, one on this show, one on another, that I
would have chosen over her, but of the available choices...
>COMEDY WRITING
Since I don't watch any of these...
>COMEDY DIRECTING
>Kenny Ortega - Gilmore Girls, "Friday Night's Alright For Fighting"
>(WB)
This would have beaten a lot stronger (from my viewpoint) competition, it
isn't just the best of available choices
>SF SERIES
>Doctor Who (Sci Fi)
I'm a little surprised that Ghost Whisperer didn't make the top 5. Anyway,
I like the Eccleston Doctor better than season 2 of Galactica, I'm not sure
I would have chosen it over the 1st season of Galactica though.
>SF LEAD ACTOR
>Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor - Doctor Who (Sci Fi)
And I like Eccleston's performance better than Olmos'. So say we some.
>SF LEAD ACTRESS
>Billie Piper as Rose Tyler - Doctor Who (Sci Fi)
I think I might have had a harder choice if Jennifer Love Hewitt had made
the cut.
>SF SUPPORTING ACTOR
>James Callis as Dr. Gaius Baltar - Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi)
There are actors not making the cut that would make this interesting, but
among the ones that did...
>SF SUPPORTING ACTRESS
>Grace Park as Lt. Sharon "Boomer" Valerii - Battlestar Galactica (Sci
>Fi)
There are actresses that didn't make the cut, including at least one from
Galactica, that would make it interesting, but I'd likely still pick Park.
I'm a big supporter of the Naked Boomer Volleyball Team.
And for those that think I'm a mindless Whedonista (Hi Ian), sorry Amy, but
I don't watch Alias.
>SF GUEST ACTOR
>John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness - Doctor Who, recurring (Sci
>Fi)
I can think of a couple of Galactica actors, and a Ghost Whisperer actor
that might have got my vote over him.
>SF GUEST ACTRESS
>Michelle Forbes as Admiral Helena Cain - Battlestar Galactica,
>recurring (Sci Fi)
Same here (except substituting Who for Galactica)
>SF WRITING
>David Weddle & Bradley Thompson - Battlestar Galactica, "Downloaded"
>(Sci Fi)
>
>SF DIRECTING
>Jeff Woolnough - Battlestar Galactica, "Downloaded" (Sci Fi)
The focus almost entirely on Park, Helfer, and Lawless. Actual character
development (love or hate it) for Cylons as a whole. Really good ep.
>TV MOVIE/MINI-SERIES
>High School Musical (Disney)
I'm evil, Evil I tell you
>VARIETY SERIES/SPECIAL
>Late Show with David Letterman (CBS)
>
>PERFORMANCE, VARIETY SERIES/SPECIAL
>Amy Poehler - Saturday Night Live (NBC)
>
>REALITY/GAME PROGRAM (series or special)
>Jeopardy! (Syndicated)
With the end of Win Ben Stein's Money, it's the only intelligent game show
left.
>BEST NEWS/TALK/DOCUMENTARY PROGRAM
>Mythbusters (Discovery)
A favorite conversation
"But they can't use guns because of the danger of decompression."
"The cabin won't explosively decompress."
"Oh, you saw that episode of Mythbusters too?"
>ANIMATED PROGRAM (series or special)
>Kim Possible (Disney)
Hey, she can do anything
>BEST NEW SERIES
>Bones (Fox)
I'm a huge Alyson Hannigan fan, but this is a better series.
>MOST IMPROVED SERIES
Since I don't watch any of them...
>"The Worst"
>
>WORST SERIES ON TELEVISION
>American Idol (Fox)
A really competitive category this year, but American Idol is so much of
what I think is wrong with, well, everything, that I had to choose it.
>WORST PERFORMER ON TELEVISION
>Donald Trump as himself - The Apprentice (NBC)
I really wanted to vote for Caruso, but Trump is just so godawful bad.

... and my sister is a vampire slayer, her best friend is a witch who
went bonkers and tried to destroy the world, um, I actually used to be
a little ball of energy until about two years ago when some monks
changed the past and made me Buffy's sister and for some reason, a big
klepto. My best friends are Leticia Jones, who moved to San Diego
because this town is evil, and a floppy eared demon named Clem.
