2 Bee Movie $38,021,044 3,928 $9,679 $38,021,044
11 8 The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D $1,525,403 -55.7%% 562 -2 $2,714 $12,825,937
26 25 Ratatouille $255,821 -13.5%% 305 -26 $838 $205,630,874
41 42 The Simpsons Movie $63,340 -34.8%% 116 -42 $546 $182,923,106
61 33 The Ten Commandments $17,226 -90.0%% 58 -425 $297 $913,112

"Bee Movie" had a solid first weekend. $38M is about the same order of
magnitude as the opening weekends of "Chicken Little" and "Happy Feet". But,
"Bee Movie" had only a lukewarm critical reception.

It remains to be seen whether the word of mouth will take "Bee Movie" up the
successful path of "Happy Feet" or the crash and burn of "Chicken Little".

Well, having read Dreamworks' synopsis, I'm in no great hurry. I'm not a
great Seifeld fan and the story sounds far too much like Antz or A Bugs
Life to really get me excited.

But then I wasn't impressed with Happy Feet either, so what do I know? ;)
