New Clown being Chased by other fish

Author: Peter Pan
Date: Dec 26, 2008 12:19

I recently introduced a new clown fish into my 75 gal FOWLR.
In the tank I also have :
2 other Clown Fish
4 damsels
4 worm gobys
1 Coral Beauty Angel
1 Powder Blue Tang.
When I placed the newest Clown in the tank, the Powder Blue, Clowns
and some of the damsels began to attack the new clown. I found him a
day or so later hidding in the corner under a piece of LR. He won't
come out.

A friend of mine suggested rearranging the rock around because the
fish become teritortial and this will put all the fish on equal
footing, so to speak. I'm lookng for suggestions to help the new
clown in the tank.
Thanks

  Looking for free-floating plant species

Author: kioboskden
Date: Sep 19, 2008 03:32

While the local library has a lot of books about microalgae and
surface bound macroalgae, planktonic macroalgae/plants are – if at
all – only mentioned in foot notes.

I'm looking for plant(including algae) species that are at least 0.4mm
large and tolerate the following habitat:

- free-floating, completely submerged
- 10-30 °C (usually: 16-23 °C)
- 5-8 pH (usually: 6.5-7.5 pH)

Salinity (in-)toleration isn't an issue.

Thanks for any hints/ideas.

THIS TRASHED USELESS GROUP BROUGHT TO YOU COURTESY OF WAYNE SALLEE

in his lost atempt to control ,moderate and act as self imposed guru
and owner of this group. If only Wayne and a few of his followers like
Kurt Guenther and Pszemol George Patterson and Inabon Ynes had a bit
more common sense to really see where the problem was this oculd have
been a very viable and informative group. PIty one child like Wayne
Sallee put this group out of business for his own stupidity and
selfishness.

  My first aquarium

Author: Dave in Lake Villa

My first aquarium

I recently bought my first aquarium. A new pet shop opened up in Lake
Villa. They seem to cater to the rap/hip-hop scene, but I thought I
could find a good tank there. The owners name is Drumondo,
a tall african american man with a bald head and a tear drop tattooed
on his cheek.

He informed me that he had a nice 55 gal. he just got in on a
trade in the back if I would like to look. I said sure and followed
him to the back. I entered the room and found it empty except for
several posters on the walls praising Louis Farrakan and Fidel
Castro.
I heard a noise and turned to find Drumondo locking the door.

Let's pick "Frogspawn" (sp). If I bought a 2" frag. in 1 year how big
will it get? Assume ideal conditions.

Welfare babies, greasy diners and other tidbits

Yes it's James and yes I'm back to express my opinions on several hot
topics germane to the here and now. First, nigs on welfare. Because
these women can't seem to understand the concept of using birth
control and because they appear all to eager to spread their legs to
any Tom, Dick or Tyrone, our government is left footing the bill for
the resulting future car thieves. A solution? Cut off all benefits
after 1 year. Educate the ones who want it so they can find a real job
and above all, keep up with current affairs in our nation's welfare
program. There is no shortage of liberal ass polyps in suits out there
lobbying for even more rights for these lazy sloths.

Next up, greasy diners. I've eaten at my fair share of them while out
on the road and for the most part, they offer a pretty good selection
of Americana food however it was my recent misfortune to run...

What's that sand you mix with LS? I only need 5# more than what I
have.

I also need only 15 lbs. of LR. Anyone know where I can get it?

Thanks.

Is there such a thing that puts a probe into the tank and you get 5-6
readings, spread sheet style, on your computer? And could monitor the
temp, ka, ph, etc. all night?

Are these any good? LFS wants me to buy them for a 10 gal. nano.
18" T5 nova extreme lights. $59

Hang on back skimmer. 148 CPR Backpac 45103. $159

Chiller 1/13 Aqua-euro by Hamilton. $349

Thanks, in advance for your time.

Oh, how much LS should I have in a 10g 1" or 2" base.
And how much Marshall Island LR should I get?
