Once is sufficieint if its done right. Big problem is if someone finds
you and calls EMT's and they get to the hospital with yo in time. What
the problem is you need to ensure that the knife blade pulls...

I bet we can come up with some kind of Rube Goldberg contraption that
could easily take care of that task. We would need to know how you
intend to do it, what is around you, inside or outside, etc
etc.......or post your phone number or email addy right before you
catch the bus and I am sure someone on here will call them for you as
well.

Awhile back, I set aside a 25g aquarium for the culture of Marimo Balls,
no fish in it. All the data I have read on them call them slow growing,
and this may be true--in their natural habitat.
But, as necessary, a few drops of Shultz Liquid Fertilizer (10-15-10 and
NO copper), a bit of lime, calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate,
micro-nutrients (NO copper) and warm water--78-80f, fairly frequent
water changes and they pearl (throw off oxygen bubbles) and grow like
crazy. I tossed some Elodea into the tank and get an inch or two growth
on each strand a day! It is the biggest, stoutest, most beautiful and
healthy looking Elodea I have ever seen ...
Now I am thinking about cultivating the Marimo Balls in a 350g aquarium
and supplying stores in my area. As, only two have them and they $10.00
a piece, for small ones!
Regards,
JS

A friend of mine had called me a while ago. He had sick fish, he
described them and said that he had had a couple of deaths.
I had talked it over with him, suggested a few websites and he had
attempted a few cures ...
He called me up a few days ago and insisted I go by ... the fish were
quite plump, some had redness around the anus ... however, no nematodes
were visible out the anus ... still, I suggested he try levamisole
hydrochloride (I told him not to worry about the brand name.) He soon
exhausted all LFS and such, even animal/livestock feed stores ... (most
amateurs don't recognize this disease, nor how difficult it can to get
rid of once gotten, without the proper meds.)
Finally, he ordered some levamisole powder off the internet, we brewed
it up at the correct dosage from my old notes and he now has his fish
eating and with normal sized bellies, no redness, no whitish feces ...
however, there were a few more mortalities in the mean time ...
I just can't believe levamisole hydrochloride is so hard to locate ...
considering it is one of the few medications useful for the treatment of
worms in fish (actually nematodes.) And, he paid quite nicely for the
few capsules he obtained ...

I would very much appreciate if you can give me some input and if you
guys are willing to publish some articles/tips on breeding discus on
my blog, please feel free to mail them to me.
