Position: Sr. Programmer Analyst
Address: Piscataway, NJ

Skills Required:
· 3-5 years programming experience utilizing Vignette Application
Portal, J2EE technologies, Java, JSP, EJB's, JMS, JNDI.
· 3 -5 years experience in architecting solutions for Portal
applications
· 3-5 years working on medium to large projects. The person in this
position requires hands on programming experience, in Java / J2EE and
PL/SQL environment, and integrating and interfacing various
applications.
· Good analytical skills, communication skills and prior experience
leading projects required.
· Experience with project life cycle, including design, development,
testing, data conversion, system interfaces, and customization, UAT,
implementation and production support.
· Knowledge of Siebel OLTP and OLAP data structures
· Experience in OLAP tools like Business Objects, Analytics, etc.
desired.

Assignment Description:
· Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the individual in
this position are definition, development, implementation and
maintenance of an enterprise web presence using Portal technologies.
· The candidate will lead portal projects and is also responsible for
the following: Architecting and designing applications and developing
robust software solutions in Internet / E-commerce environments in a
variety of architectures and technologies. Object Oriented S/W
development, and Portal Development.
· Communicating and collaborating with other team members by creating
requirements and design documentation and working with project to help
define elements of the project plan.
· Design and Development of portals using Vignette Application
Portal.
· Implementing industry best practices and staying up to date on
emerging trends in order to implement these when appropriate.
· Interaction with all levels of staff, both within IT and other
business units.
· The incumbent will prepare and hold technical and business
presentations; Maintains awareness of new technology; participates in
product evaluations, and provides recommendations and Problem solving
in a complex software environment.
· The person in this position should be able to manage projects or
assist other project managers in successful implementations of
software project deliverables.
· The person also participates in the evaluation of new software
packages, techniques and development tools providing recommendations
to management.
· Maintains an awareness of new hardware/software and communications
developments, with an eye toward their use in systems development.
· Participates in educational, professional and industry activities
related to programming and systems analysis. Communicates developments
in these fields to appropriate personnel.
