The Web Software Engineer is part of a team supporting and developing web applications. The Web Software Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to developing ASP.NET 2.0 VB.NET and classic ASP code from previously defined specs and assisting with testing and debugging. Responsibilities: * Ongoing maintenance, debugging and support of existing web applications. * Collaboration with development team, Project Managers and spec authors to analyze and develop plans for solutions per functional specs. * Write and work from technical specifications. * Develop VB.NET, ASP.NET, Classic ASP (VB Script), and JavaScript code from previously defined specs. * Assist with testing and debugging of web applications. * Optimize code to ensure excellent performance. * Comply with code management, standard procedures and environment stability practices. * Comply with Data Security and Privacy policies. * Communicate well with other members of the project team. Other Duties/Responsibilities: * Support and develop T-SQL and C# code from previously defined specs. * Create new tools and methods to enhance departmental and company productivity. * Develop and fine-tune technical abilities, learn new technologies and methodologies, and mentor other developers. * Demonstrable understanding of the following: Software Development Lifecycles, Object-Oriented Analysis and Programming, ASP.NET, Active Server Pages, ADO, VBScript, JavaScript, Browser Object Models, Transact-SQL and Relational Database Design. * Strong organizational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Minimum of 3 years experience developing online applications with Active Server Pages, including .NET 2.0. * Minimum of 1 year experience in SQL Server (2000, 2005). * Internet industry with team development experience required.
