Situation: Au nord-ouest de district Haidian de Pékin, tout près du 6e
périphérique, 25 km de Nid d’oiseau, principal lieu pour les
événements olympiques de Pékin, Autour de cette villa,vous pouvez
adorer le paysage pittoresque , il y a des bois, lac, où vous pouvez
pêcher ou faire une promenade avec vos familles et vos amis.
Structure : 380 m² pour la superficie totale, il y a 3 étages avec 5
pièces, 2 salles, 1 cuisine et 4 salles de bains, face au sud

I am a Design Engineer who did some contract work for a company.
Payment is late and the company ignores me. What's the most effective
way to get my money? A lawyer? Collection agency? I was a
contractor not employee so Labour Board can't help.

I am trying to draft up a personal will and the lawyers I talk to seem
to like to make it complicated. I have asked friends about how they
did their wills and they all had the same story. It started off okay
but then there was a lot of back-and-forth - with increased costs.
Shouldn't this be a straightforward process? I have these assets and
I want them to go to so-and-so?

My mother, who lived in Montreal, Quebec died a couple of months ago
without a will. My father and sister are in Montreal, I'm in Ottawa.
Without my knowledge or co-operation, my sister has hired a notary to
settle my mother's estate. (There is some dis-harmony in my family.)
My father does not know what the notary is doing, either.

I spoke to the notary in Montreal and she said she does not need to
communicate with me - which I found strange. However, she did not
know that my mother did not have a will and she asked what assets my
mother had - even more strange. I assumed she already had this
information. At the time I spoke to her, she was doing a will
search. There are 3 heirs to my mother's estate - me, my sister, my
father - so I figured I would be involved in this.

What I'm looking for is status and what is happening in the succession
process. Without spending money on a notary or lawyer, does anyone
know how to find out what's going on?
