I've picked up hand/face towels (about 8 inces square) from various commodity
stores, such as Loblaws, Zellers, and Walmart. Might have tried Sears and the
Bay, can't remember.
Without fail, they fray at the edges and require constant pruning after every
use. After getting tired of all that, one may start simply yanking at them,
which usually pulls out a good length of thread and might leave a thin spot in
the cloth. This is really getting annoying. I don't remember cloths being so
needy way back when (though that doesn't mean that they weren't).
Is there a way to recognize a well-made cloth? I got a stockpile of the
less-than-well-made ones, and would like to avoid adding to it.
