GOP's Prospects Worst Since Watergate: While Obama's candidacy was
flying high due to receiving Edwards' endorsement Wednesday, GOP leaders
were still recovering from the aftershock of their Tuesday defeat in a
special congressional contest in Mississippi. The New York Times reports
that:
The level of distress was evident in remarks by senior party officials
throughout the day.

"This was a real wake-up call for us," Robert M. Duncan, the chairman of
the Republican National Committee, said in an interview. "We can't let
the Democrats take our issues. We can't let them pretend...

Mich. city spends $5.21 to mail 51-cent tax bill

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

(05-14) Brighton, Mich. (AP)

A Michigan doctor is getting a laugh out of a 51-cent property tax
bill. It isn't just that Phil Kazanji's bill is so low. It's that it
cost the city of Brighton $5.21 to send it to him by certified mail.

Kazanji says he first thought the amount was a mistake. Now he calls
the whole thing "the most ridiculous thing a government agency would
do."

City finance director Dave Gajda says Kazanji paid $158 on a bill for
$158.48. The city penalized him 3 cents and sent him the new tab.

Gajda says Brighton doesn't have the authority to waive a portion of
taxes.

Kazanji says he'll write out a check for

  Change You Deserve

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/14/gop.agenda/

If you don't pay attention to who's saying this, it'd be difficult to
discern which party spokesdroid is talking!

..."Today's families face challenges that yesterday's laws don't
address. Sixty percent of mothers with children under are 6 are now
working outside the home. The majority of families have not one parent
working but both parents working."

The agenda goes on to argue that laws need to be changed to provide
American families with "more freedom in their jobs; greater health
care and retirement security; safer communities; access to quality,
affordable education; and the ability for future generations to
compete in the global economy."

There is also a focus helping military families....

Day late and a dollar short, apparently.

Oregon can decide the next President of the United States -Clinton or McCain?

It is now clear that Clinton and Obama need each other to immunize
against racist attacks, and Obama is not leadership material, yet.

Obama ran scared. Instead of campaigning aggressively in Virginia, he
went to Michigan, where the votes were not even counted. What's the
message? This is not presidential conduct. If he gets to the White
House, he can hide behind Hillary Clinton's skirt.

Democrats are beginning to figure it out. If chicken feed defeats
Hillary, McCain's swift boat operatives will destroy Obama the way
they destroyed Kerry/Edwards.

Let's cut to the chase, America is still too racist to elect a
cowardly, Black President. Read this by Bill Moyers, to clearly
understand the simple fact that Obama's only path to the White House
is through an alliance with Hillary Clinton.
