  Dick Smith Finance Pre-Approval?

Author: Prospective Debtor
Date: Jan 31, 2008 19:43

I just filled out the "Finance" form at www.dse.co.nz (lower
left-hand corner.)

Eventually, it displayed a letter for me to print out,
"Congratulations, you have been pre-approved for finance with
Finance Now though Dick Smith electronics NZ Ltd."

And then gives an "approved for finance" amount that is much
greater than what I asked for in the application. There is a
"Pre-Approval Number" and also a "Pre-Approval Password," plus an
expiry date, four weeks in the future.

And it instructs me to head on over to Dick Smith, with a copy of
the letter, my driver license (number to match the one on the
application), and "a current bill or bank statement that confirms
your residential address."

And the letter says that, the sales-drone "will complete the
finance contract for you to sign."

Telecom faces court over 'Go Large' ads

"Telecom and its subsidiary Xtra are to be prosecuted for allegedly
misleading the public with its Go Large broadband promotion."

Had to happen, I'm sure other ISP's are guilty of misleading people as well.

Me too....huge drop.

What I have seen though is more and more targetted emails....ie
containing subject lines in context with our business yet containing
viagra adds....(for one).
