As a friend of mine says when I call telescum, "telescum"....."just
another telco" and Vodafone proves it...

So you can buy an iPhone for $199 and pay $6000 for it over two
years....or buy one for $979....when a fair price would be nearer
$500....so we'll get the early have to have it adopters....

Lets see what its selling for after Xmas...or maybe Trademe in a few
months....I hope Vodafone lose a packet on this deal....sympathy for the
small guy just went out the window.

regards

Thing

G'day everyone,

Well, at least fellow vodafone and slingshot victims....

Looks to me as if the newsgoup server is completely isolated from the rest
of the planet......

  Motzarella newsgroups

Author: Geopelia
Date: Jul 7, 2008 06:01

I've had a lot of improvements done to the computer, and now have to put the
newsgroups back.
I got aioe, but I'm having trouble with motzarella. Only the motzarella
groups themselves will appear when I try to download all the newsgroups.

What should I do? I've tried tools - accounts etc and the groups start
arriving (with that flying bit of paper thing) but the whole list won't
download.

Thank you

Geopelia

Interesting that they use a Seagate 500MB 7200.*10* rather than the
(superior) 7200.11s we've been getting here for a while. The 10s have 16Mb
cache, the 11s have 32MB. Also Seagate claim the 11s use "second-generation
perpendicular recording technology". It made me double-check the date of the
article.
