Hi,
How can I remove old app distributions without them getting re-distributed
all over again?
(Zen 6.5 SP1 / NW6.6 SP3)
Removing the directories from the Distribution Server and the Subscriber is
pointless as they just get distributed on the subscriber again. Obviously
they are already stored in the directories in the PDS\TED\SUB system and
that is where I should remove them from on each subscriber too I guess?
But how do I relate which (numbered) sub directory is which app?

Can I delete the whole PDS\TED\SUB structure on a subscriber. Will it cause
a hiccup or will it just distribute everything from scartch again which is
idealy what I want as the Distributor has had a good cleanup of a few GB but
they still keep coming back on the subscribers.

I am having the same problem as detailed in TID 3193227 except that it is
ZfS 6.5sp2 not 7 and the "overwrite existing target folder..." is not
checked on any application distribution. Each time the distributions
are "pushed" via TED, the application folder structure is removed from the
distributed apps. Checked all distributed apps because I was told by a
MCNE that just one distribution with the box checked would cause that
problem. Has anyone seen this with ZfS 6.5sp2? Thanks!

Well, with loglevel set to 6 you'll get lots of messages. The workorder in
message indicates that the distributor received a responce from the
subscriber, quit notmal traffic.

Off topic: Erik If I'm right you are working for a company that has an
office in Capelle (NL), is that right? Are you working from the CPL office
or at another location (I'm cycling along your CPL office almost every day
:-))

We have in our distribution a file with a eurosign in the filename. In the
logfile there is an entry with following message:
Gather (name of distribution) stopped with error - the file (name of file)
could not be read, therefore, it could not be gathered. (IO error)
The eurosign in the filename shows up as an ? (questionmark) in the above
errormessages.
If we remove the file then the distribution will be succesfully gathered
and distributed.

Is this a knownerror, am I doing something wrong, please, help. I have
searched the knowledge base, but found nothing.

In iManager when selecting ZENworks Server Management, Tiered
Distribution View, the Evaluation Copy page keeps apearing.

We have a valid license. When it is entered the same page will come up
on a different workstation that we log into. Is there a "global" way to
enter the license?

I have expirienced the same errors on our server. While building a
distribution out of 30Gb of files, most of the time I have the
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError. I have already applied the 512 setting to the
Zfs.ncf. The amount of internal memory of the server is 4Gb. Netware
6.5sp5, Zfs 6.5sp1.
Is there a guideline for distributing "large" distributions?

Every time I try to install the iManager plugins / web components for ZFS
6.5, I get the error "Unable to authenticate. check username and password
and try again" error if I try to use SSL (I am using full context like it
asks for). If I try to use 8080 I get the error "Unable to connect. Check
the address and port number and try again".

I have tried this in a few different test labs and trees, and I always get
the same results. What am I doing wrong?
