Every time I click the Reporting button, I get that an Application Error
has occurred and was posted to the event log, then the whole console
closes.

The following is the message from the log.

I wonder if this is an issue with DNS. Are you able to connection to
the same address with an LDAP browser?

If so, can you try connecting to to the clear-text port with ZES and
get a packet trace at the same time? It should be easy to see were the
problem is as the very last packet in the LDAP communication of the
trace would contain the error.

  mssoap errors

Author: Paul Landauer

Help!

I can find no reference to the errors I'm receiving.
I'm running ZESM 3.5 ir2. Zenworks security client is installed on XP
sp2. In the event log of the workstation I get:

Source: MSSOAP
Category: Generic
Event id: 16
Description: Soap Error: Bad Certificate

After that error I get this one:
Souce: MSSOAP
Category: Generic
Event id: 16
Description: Soap error: XML Parser failed at line number 1, Lineposition
0, reason is: a document must contain exactly one root element.

These errors repeat over and over in the event log.

I assume the second error is due to the first and that I've got a
certificate problem, but I have no idea how to proceed.
