Try using Windows 2000 for your Snapshots instead.
This will provide as reliable snapshots for XP as a base XP image will.

There is a workstation registry size issue that has been mostly fixed in
6.x/7.x

We do not use Win2000

We are at Zen3.2 because we have a limited future for Novell at our site
now.
I can't thonk of any particular trigger for this problem.
It is simply that the problem arose earlier in the year whereas it worked
fine.
I hadn't used snapshot fro a while and I noticed that it attempted to clear
all registry settings!!
