  Second logon screen

Hi guys,
We have been having this issue. On some workstations, the Zen appears not to be working correctly. When users login, they receive a secon login window (Windows Workstation) asking them to type user name and password. At that time only local user name with password works. We use Zen 6.5 with Windows XP Pro. Any suggestions?
P.S. When a user goes to a diffrent computer, he sees no such window at all.....

Craig

Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Will give it a go when I get back to
the office on Monday.

Zenworks Group Policies and Active Directory

Author: john.rubinstein

We're a primarily Novell setup.

Recently, we've had to introduce AD because of certain application which
we've deployed and which are dependent on AD.

We use Zenworks 6.5 group policies.

We've configured a number of PC's (pilot) to log in to both eDirectory
and AD and found that Zenworks group policies are being overwritten by
what must be some default AD group policy. At any rate, the Zenworks GPs
are not being applied for these test PCs.

Any way to log into both AD and eDirectory and ensure that Zenworks group
policies still apply?

I use vbs-script that checks if there is logged in user (if there is it
doesn't try to power off machine) and makes markings in event log (in
Finnish):

should work with "shutdown -s -f" ?

does your "logged" user have enough right to do a shutdown ?
aren't there any policies that disable it ?

  Double workstation object (re)imported

can anyone give me an idea on what could produce the fact having
the workstation imported a second time (in the same container),
the workstation object has a "1" appended to its name.

the only change or event that occurs was replacement of network card.
I noticed one workstation has one mac address in the "zenwmMACAddress"
field and the second object has two mac address'
weird ? or logical ?

thank you for your help

Can you post the syntax that you are using to install the agent?
You are not using a ZENWorks Application object right?

Where do I find the workstation management agent?

Author: jesterpoet

I used to install this through the old client, but now it appears it is
no longer included in the client. Where can I find an installer for
this so I can add it to workstations that have the newest client?

Thanks!

Zen 6.5

When a network administrator logsd in ( with no policy associated with
them) there is no delay.
