ZfD4 questions really belong in the zfd4 forums, not this which is for
6.5, but anyhow: yes, just make sure that the effective policy for the
user *and the workstation* have the prompt user unchecked.

I need to run an inventory report on a specific .DLL file for all
workstations at my site. I need the date and version of this file. How
do I get ZEN inventory to grab and store this information to the
database? Or if it's already in the database how do I report on it?
ZENworks 6.5 SP2, workstations running ZFDAgent 6.5 SP2.
Thanks.

normally yes.. take a look at the documentation and the sync schedule of
the inventory service object.

I would like to install hotpatch 4 to fix a workstation import problem.
The workstations import to an intermediate server and then roll up. The
problem is getting them into the database not rolling up.
Is there a prerequisite for the inventory that the hotpatch is installed
on the root server first and then the intermediate databases?
I am expecting to install it on the intermediate server and not the root
server.
Thanks,
Kent

We have Zenworks 6.5 Inventory using Sybase 8 on a one tree Novell system.
The tree has two organizations and we would like to keep the reporting
completely separate. Is it possible to have a second database and use
policies to split workstation reporting from the two organizations? Other
ideas?
Thanks - Steve

Hello!
We recently started inventory service on our ZenWorks 6.5 server and
workstations. Now we have such problem: field MotherBoard (ZenWorks.
MotherBoard.Model and CIM.Card.Model) shows only manufacturer of
motherboard - not the motherboard model. For example, usually we see
ASUStek computer inc.
Sandra and Everest programs can show exact model of motherboard.
Is there any way to see motherboard model in ZenWorks 6.5?
Albert
