That's only used to perform an online update to SP2. Once you are at SP2
you can remove this source.

Both are used for post-SP2 updates.

And now an official kernel maintenace update, 2.6.16.60-0.27, has been
released to address this issue. It is no longer needed to apply the PTF.
If you applied the PTF, you don't need to install the 0.27 kernel update
but if you do update to 0.27 it will not harm anything.

Do you have a valid SLED/SLES10 subscription?

I have an HP dv9210 and the latest kernel has made me need to use
"ide=nodma acpi=off apm=off noapic" in order to boot all the way to gdm.
It seems to fail when attempting to start gdm. Everything was functional
on the laptop prior.

Update Software puts the blue globe in the lower right corner of the screen.
It turns orange when there are updates available.
Online Update is a choice in yast.
1 - Why are there two different updaters?
2 - What are the differences between the two. ( I note that although I have
installed all the updates from "Update Software", there are still tons of
updates which I appear to need when I run "Online Update".)
3 - Which one (or both) are tied to the software activation?
