Do you have spanning-tree enabled on the port that the server connects to?
If so, disable it, or in the case of Cisco, enable fast spanning tree.

Hmm... spanning tree is disabled...

BTW, what does it have to do with the BASP interfaces?

Getting BASP to work with INETCFG.NLM can be tricky. My guess is that
there is still somthing wrong with your configuration. Could you post your
autoexec.ncf and your netinfo.cfg files?
