  How to install Groupwise 5.5?

Author: benro2

Hi,

I'm creating a range of virtual machines with various versions of
Groupwise for use by our test team, however on the Novell download
site I haven't been able to find an installation file for Groupwise
5.5.

Could anyone please tell me which files I would need to get it
installed under Windows XP? I'm not a regular user of GW - I just
need to build these VM's ASAP but don't know if there are any
dependencies on other Novell products? It looks like Netware is
required?

Our company's software integrates with Groupwise and our official
documentation says that we certify against 5.5. Can anyone please
tell me exactly which files are required in order to get all dependent
products up to the 5.5 standard, ie: the latest update packs for all
products?

Also, is there a difference between 5.5 and 5.5 EP?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Ben

I started with WPOffice 2.0 - I remember after GW came into existence a
customer called me to add a new user to a WPOffice system. I had to sit and
look at the DOS prompt for about 10 minutes before I remembered what to do -
it was all command-line install.

Thanks for taking a look at this question. Do you know the differnce
between GW 5.5.5 (GW 5.5 SP5) and GW 5.5 Enhancement Pack? Question is,
can I use Webacess from Enhanced with GW 5.5.5? It's much better. Thanks
in andvance.

  GW555 WebAccess

Thanks for reading my Q. I am setting up GW WebAccess for the first time
on an existing GW server. Apparently I need to re-run the GW system
install to get the webaccess agents going on the server. If so, do I then
need to re-run the SP5 update? Any ideas or links you know of appreciated.
