Are those blank messages in non-English characters?
If so make sure your Gateway server can read all required character sets.

  BES After a Groupwise Exchange Gateway

Author: cobaltblu42

We're running GW 7.01 routing mail through a Novell GW/Exchange gateway
which goes to a BES server. We're having issues with HTML formatted
SMTP (Gmail, Yahoo mail, etc) mail being received on Blackberries on
the Exchange side. About 1/2 of them come through w/ no MIME
attachment or content of any kind. Has anyone else run into this or
know of the issue and/or a fix?
Thanks

The API docs specifically warn you not to use the API GW to create users,
for this among other reasons. (synch of eDirectory)

  Re: GroupWise 7 Exchange gateway questions

We have not set anything up yet. We are looking at our options.

I think we are going to download/archive each Exchange users mailbox to a pst file and then install the GW connection for Outlook 2003 and have them connect to GW on the back end.

Then once we are past tax season we will import the pst files.

Do you have problem with busy search?

Create a subdomain and route mail to GW using SMTP connector. But you will
have problem with busy search if you choose to route mail via SMTP.

Good news and bad news.

I called Novell on the service not starting issue w/ ver.7b; they said it
was a defect and they are writing a patch for it now. The only way to get
it to work is launch it as an application. That DOES work, however, not the
best long-term solution.

  Exchange gateway using IP connectivity

Author: Morozz
Date: Dec 6, 2006 18:49

Hi all,
have anyone tried to connect Exchange 2003 with Groupwise 6.5 using IP
functionality of Gateway 7?

I simply don't have "Message Transfer port" field on "Network Address"
tab as described in the documentation. I guess IP connectivity is only
supported with GroupWise 7 MTA, but there's nothing about it on Novell
site.

I have to connect two systems located in different cities and would
like to avoid connectivity using file system but still need Directory
synchronisation.

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

  Notes Gateway 7 - Double entry in the GW AB when /NOALIAS

Author: Gabriel Zusmanavicius

Hi, all!
Is there an issue or is it working as it had been designed?.
I'm trying to avoid the Lotus Notes' shortnames in the GroupWise Address Book. I'd prefer the Lotus' FirstName Lastname format.
Do you know how to make it work in this way?

Thanks in advance
Regards

Gabriel

  API Gateway & GW v7

Author: Mike
Date: Dec 5, 2006 06:09

Has anyone using the API gateway to connect Exchange to GroupWise v6.5.x upgraded to GW v7.x and kept the API gateway?

For those who have is it functioning correctly?

Was there anything special that had to be done for the upgrade from v6.5.x to v 7.x in regards to the API gateway?

Thanks.

Anyone has problem with Busy Search using GW Gateway 7 between GW 6.5
System and Exchange 2003 Ent R2. I'm getting MS Visual C++ Runtime Library
while doing busy search from GroupWise. Then Gateway terminated. Any
resolutions or work around is much appreciated. Thanks.

  Async GateWay GWOUT dir. ?

Author: dave Schryer

Anyone know why some files might get stuck in this dir. structure? Messages ready to be compressed and sent across the modem remain here. I have to manually delete them, otherwise they'll continually attempt to be downloaded to the client.

Structure is:

gwout
-> connection-ID
----> 1
----> 2 (get stuck here)
----> 3
----> CMP (or get stuck here sometimes)
