indeed.

This client's configuration is:
1 Groupwise 6.5 server on the LAN.
The router forwards all port25 traffic through to the GW server.

The client is will to bring a standalone server if it will help less the
Spam. I just need some proven 3rd-party alternatives to recommend.

If the client is not up to dealing with a "homegrown" solution, they
might look into a Barracuda... they are relatively cheap (no
per-mailbox/user charges) and work pretty stinking well. We've had a
model 300 for several months and it has really clamped down on our
spam... and ease of administration couldn't be easier.
