I'd like to open the following address and see the contents of the
threads, but I couldn't find any NNTP client that can open the address
of this form. Can anyone help me with this?

Trying to get comcast set up on Thunderbird, on a Mac. It looks like I
finally got it, though I can't get most of the groups I care about.

How can I get: microsoft.public.scripting.jscript or comp.object or
this newsgroup, news.newusers.questions, rec.music.theory?

The threads don't show up in threads. Is there something I need to do?

I tried using news.netfront but can't post only read. What can I do to
change settings?


The people who make up that company seem not worth the protein they're
composed of. Considerably less intelligent than the google gropes
developers who have created quite a mess.

I've called customer service. The asked me "what's a newsgroup" then
transferred me to video hardware customer service where I was on hold
for 20+ minutes not knowing who I was waiting for. ( I didn't answer
that "what's a newsgroup" question)

I've tried their chat application. It fails silently in FF3 with no
error or status on the screen while waiting for the representative.

what happened to them on verizon??

I am seeking recommendations for books on NNTP. The level I'm happy
with is exemplified by Comer's three volumes _Internetworking with
TCP/IP_, but he doesn't mention NNTP. I'd especially like to see some
functioning (but simple, no bells and whistles necessary) code.

As I browsed through the newsgroup list I found many group names
containing "hipcrime" or its variants. Wikipedia says "hipcrime" is a
kind of usenet attack that impersonate another user to cancel or
supersede his posts. Are these groups also the result of such attack? I
hear that creating a newsgroup is not so easy. Why are they not removed?

I recently did an e-mailing to members of my club. Two messages were
returned with the usual mail delivery failure, but the reason was
over-quota. I never had that before. Exactly what and why did I get it?

I have done e-mailings to the entire membership previously with no problems.
