Current Spam thresholds and guidelines.

This article is intended to describe the current consensus spam thresholds
and ensure that the definitions of these terms are available and consistent.
It is believed that most, if not all, spam cancellers use these terms and
definitions in their work; however, many other people use the terms
inappropriately, which leads to confusion in discussions. This is an
informal FAQ aimed at clarity and understanding, not anal-retentive
correctness.

Excessive Multi-Posting (EMP) has the same meaning as the term "spam"
usually carries, but it is more accurate and self-explanatory. EMP means,
essentially, "too many separate copies of a substantively identical
article."

I can't find a phone number (and without an IP, for all I now the
posterr is #3) but I note that there is an Amity Luce-Aurilio who is a
third grade teacher at 10 Stanford St. in the Glens Falls school
district, reviewed a kiddy book on Amazon and has done stage design
for a summer youth theater in Lake George.

I'm not sure he even owns the blogspot URL's. In the past he's always
used sexual headlines but I haven't found any sexual content on the
ones I've checked. I don't see any sexual OR "freedom of speech"
content on this one - just a lot of news headlines. Is this what you
get at the beginning when you sign up for blogspot?

I can understand someone spamming a sex site referral where he gets
paid so much per signup. I can understand someone who thinks that his
very important missive has to be brought to the attention of everyone
who reads Usenet whether they are reading for disease support or to
get a job in Baltimore or whatever.

This I can't understand. It just seems to be an attempt to get Shaw
and Blogspot (if you can even reach an ignorebot there) flooded with
complaints.

In the meantime, Teranews seems to be experimenting with its filters
presumably to prevent MI5 boy from posting to comp.lang.python and
fr.misc.automoto.mecanique and 15,000 other newsgroups and half the
time one can't post at all. (see below)

I keep on seeing all these blogspot URL's spamvertsed as sexsites and
I can't find anything like a sexsite referral link to LART. In fact, I
don't see any sexual content on this site. It's almost as weird as MI5
boy.
