dear all,
as a company we use mail hosting from a local provider however we also
have our own mail server inside the office network but not used at
all.
When I send messages from office server, the recipient server checking
reverse dns record and again resolving the IP which shows our
providers IP naturally so the message is rejected.
now my question is; if I ask my provider to set 2 mx records, first
for their IP and the second for my office static IP with less priority
and make the latter one "
mail2.domain.com". Then make my reverse dns
record for my office IP like
mail2.domain.com and send the message thi
way, would it help ? In any case when it is replied, I will again
receive the message thru the service providers server.. right?
pleased to hear
