THIS IS AN E-MAIL I RECEIVED THREATENING TO PUT DETAILS ON THE
INTERNET. WELL HERE IT IS
Dear Mr Shaw
> I have received 2 e-mails from your company today sating that my
No, you haven't. These messages were generated by the mail server of
your own Internet service provider while it was trying to deliver a
message to another domain that uses SORBS (doing so voluntarily, of
course).
> I have contacted IINET SUPPORT and notified them of the problem and
> they calaim to have never heard of your company
It's kind of funny that you should say that because we have recorded
several items of correspondence from IINET administration over the
years. Don't trust my memory on this one; I actually searched through
the ticket database to verify.
> and that my ip address
> is not listted on any spam database on the internet.
The listed IP address is not yours specifically any more than of any
other customer of theirs. It's that of a central resource IINET
provide to all their customers equally.
