Well, I thought that for once, I had enough evidence for MAPS to
finally prove themselves, and list an IP. Complaints, and a final
answer stating that no action would be taken.

Boy was I wrong.

They've proven themselves all right... but in the wrong way.

Precedence:

Thank you for your submission to the RBL. We appreciate your efforts
in
helping to stop spam, but we can not process your submission until you
provide
the following items:

- copies of your abuse reports to the ISP, including the time, date,
subject,
and recipient address(es) for each report. These should include
complete
copies of the spam, and be directed to proper network contacts. If the
relationship of the networks is not clear, you may wish to include the
relevant network records of who you contacted and why you contacted
them.

- complete copies of the spam, including full, unaltered headers.
Information
on retrieving full headers for several popular email clients can be
found at
http://spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/19.html. Please be aware that
reports
processed through Spamcop may have altered (munged) headers and may not
be
sufficient evidence for a nomination. If your abuse reports included
complete
copies of the spam (and they should), then we do not need additional
copies.

- a clear description of the problem and why you feel MAPS' involvement
is
needed to help resolve it.

- complete copies of any replies you receive, including autoacks and
bounces.

- dates and times of any telephone conversations, and transcribed
details of
that conversation (including numbers called, extensions, if possible,
and
names of the people you spoke with). We do not require telephone
contact if
it would be an overseas call. If you did not make a telephone call
please
explain why.

- a suggestion of the IP address(es) which you feel would resolve the
issue
(generally the smallest netblock that would fix the problem).

- evidence of attempts to educate the host before submitting a
nomination.
Pointing the network at appropriate websites is one way to attempt
education.

Please be courteous and professional in your communications - there is
no need
to be abusive towards those sending unsolicited email nor the staff at
their ISP.

Please feel free to add the above requested information to this ticket
so that
we may take action. Should you decide to add to your nomination,
please
remember to provide as much detail as you can as it will help us make
the best
determination of the next steps to take. Be sure to include the full
ticket
number in the subject, for example by replying to this message (that
is, the
whole string [MAPS #xxxxxx] including the brackets).

See these pages on our website for more information on our nomination
policies
and procedures, and to help with your education efforts:
