Thunberbird: lost some acct info after re-formatting HD..

hi,

I can't find a Thunderbird group...

I ALWAYS have this problem with Thunderbird, had to reformat HD, before
doing so backed up all TB acct into (both in C:\....appData\Thunderbird
and in C:\Thunderbird (why does TB save user acct info at these TWO
locations???) so I copied all this user-info to their appropriate
locations after new install..

however, for my email account only emails in sub-folders I had created
myself under INBOX folder are there, but NOT emails in INBOX itself...
this is always a problem, what a pain.. would appreciate some help..
