Thanks Peter, the problem is random, not at every visit to a site, I
will be more observant next time it occurs and post the links.

just had me puzzled that it said the prob was in IE when I am using
Firefox and no prob shows when using IE.

Many thanks,

Bill

You need to be making your concerns known to Mozilla - they are pleading
for input - see

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:QA_TestDay:2008-09-18

I realize the test day is past, but the reporting system will probably
be the same. They will welcome you suggestions, and that'sthe place to
get it fixed!

  Foxmarks bookmark file

Author: Howard Brazee
Date: Sep 18, 2008 07:19

I noticed my bookmarks.html file hasn't been modified lately, so I
changed my bookmarks, exited Firefox, and then did a search for files
I changed today.

No bookmarks file. But I did see a 20,000 line foxmarks.log file.

I had been assuming that my backups have been backing up different
versions of my bookmarks file, but I wonder if Foxmarks might be
replacing it with its own file. I did a search on all of today's
changed files, looking for a bookmark heading without success.

Besides backing up earlier bookmark files (or importing them into
another browser), I wanted to fix a broken icon by editing my
bookmarks.html by hand.

Is it possible to store and load bookmarks.html files with Foxmarks?
Or am I missing the problem?

(My work computer is Windows XP, my home computer is OS-X Leopard).

  can't install add-ons

Author: nobody
Date: Sep 17, 2008 14:01

I have been unable to install add-ons since updating to FF 3.01 for XP.
Having same problem with Seamonkey 1.1.11 (and the add-ons in SM aren't
working.) Could SP3 have anything to do with this? How do I fix this? I
don't want to browse without things like NoScript and Flashblock.

How to access original bookmarks from different identity

Author: jbclem
Date: Sep 7, 2008 14:40

I have my computer set up so that I can boot up either in Win2000 or WinXP.
All my bookmarks are on the Win2000 identity and I'd like to be able to
access them from the WinXP identity. Is there a file that I can just copy
to the WinXP side, or is there a proceedure that must be followed?

  Firefox pop up blocker

It's always worked in the past, I checked - it's still turned on with
4 or 5 exceptions listed... but I've been getting unwanted popups in
the past 24 hours. Any ideas?

Haven't upgraded to v3 yet. Is there a compelling reason to do so?

Shockwave Flash crashes FF 3 (and Chrome)

Author: A.Translator
Date: Sep 6, 2008 07:50

Small videos like the one on this page
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7601499.stm cause FF 3.0.1 (and Google's
Chrome) to crash - while IE7 does just fine.

It is only this sort of news video that causes problems. You Tube videos
display just fine.

I re-downloaded and re-installed the Shockwave plug-in, but that didn't help.

Can someone help me sort this out?
Thank you.

FF often shows "Unresponsive script" warning message - please help

Author: Adam
Date: Sep 5, 2008 17:00

Using Firefox 2.0.0.16, I keep getting the following warning message ...

"Warning: Unresponsive script
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.
You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will
complete."

for websites like www.rei.com and others.

What can be done to work around this?
