On that wacky radio show (at 101.9 FM)
previously hosted by Art Bell (now it's George Noory)..
http://www.coasttocoastam.com/
He had some guys on touting a technology which can double gas mileage.
Seems simple: use electrolysis to create HHO, also called Brown's Gas.
Then just route it to the air intake. Doesn't take much water, mileage
goes up as much as 50%%, engine runs better, much less pollution.
This site mentions the tax credit for using green technology,
and says they offer 100%% cash back guarantee. They offer access
to a couple on line books which tell exactly how to do it:
http://hho4gas.com/
There's a good bit of free info on the site.

Everyone's favourite host ( ;) ) Phil Valentine is apparently having
this done to his Miata at the moment. I await the inevitable
disappointing report.

I got news for you, burning gas produces water too.
I think the whole thing is a scam along the lines of Pons &
Fleischman's cold fusion. Valentine is having a "wait and see"
attitude. Personally, I wouldn't have let the charlatans near my car.
