Read on one of the sites that poor people have been voting democratic slates
for years, but they are still poor. In checking the World Almanac it seems
that the poorest states consistantly vote democrats into office. Oh well.

Oh well, what? Which site? Did you actually research the World
Almanac? Or did you just take someone elses (uncited) word for it?

Per captia income, voting patterns, party affiliations of elected officials,
home values, income taxes paid, unemployment rate, percentage of high school
graduates, education level, percentage of residents...

Yep, as long as the poor folks keep getting outbid for Congressional seats
they're never going to see any legislation to benefit them.
If they ever want to get anywhere they need to stop wasting their money on
heat, food, and rent and start spending it on campaign ads and voting
machines.

changed. These studies say patterns have reversed. But they don't take into
account the great deal of Repuglican fraud which has taken place. "It's not
the vote that counts, it's who counts the vote".
