I'm not sure, but while everyone talks about immigrants from Mexico, Tyson
has found a source of employing Somalians and I assume they must be Muslims.
I've heard grumblings about Somalies(?) from a friend of mine from
Shelbyville.

as a paid holiday. They want you to buy there chicken.

Company will let workers take Muslim holiday or another day next year

Union workers and officials at a Tyson Foods plant in Shelbyville,
Tenn., said Friday they have agreed to reinstate Labor Day as a
paid holiday, and the plant also will observe the Muslim holiday
Eid al-Fitr this year.

The absurdity of this is amazing. Labor has no right to decide how to (or
not) celebrate Labor Day - not even if management agrees with them.
And the freedom to observe one's religious precepts applies only if you're
a believer in an *approved* religion.
